ALESSANDRO SICIOLDR

Alessandro Sicioldr, born 1990, is an Italian artist working from his atelier in Perugia. Knowledgeable in the traditional painting methods of the old masters, Sicioldr carefully prepares his wood support in accordance to the techniques used by Cennino Cennini. He combines traditional painting skills with personal vision to create richly imaginative artworks in a contemporary manner. In addition to painting in oils, Sicioldr also creates stimulating drawings using pencil and colored pencil on paper. His works are evocative of the images which reside in the realm of dreams and are informed by his many interests including mythology, philosophy, and science.
