NICOLE ALGER

Nicole Alger is classically trained in drawing and painting. She focused on portraiture, and selling privately, for several years, while painting landscapes and still lifes for shows and competitions, mainly in the U.S. In recent years, she has turned to imaginative work, influenced most demonstrably by Klimt and Maxfield Parrish, but incalculably by countless masters from  the early Renaissance to the present day. She is inspired by a spectrum of human ideals, mined from a host of traditions ranging from the Native American to Buddhism. She is showing more of her imaginative work in juried and group shows as she transitions from her more traditional work. Among others, her work is owned by the American Arbitration Association, Naropa University, Fareed Zakaria, and Ashley Judd. Her work is represented by The Copley Society of Art in Boston, MA.
